When you look at this bird, you feel like it is wearing a black tuxedo with a pink bow. It has this huge thing placed on the top of its head, which makes you feel like it has been crowned; this crown is nothing, but an indication for the humans that here comes the most dangerous bird! On feeling danger, the bird kicks its victim so hard that it could greatly damage the victim’s bones. Its very strong and average of 12 centimeters long jaws are so sharp that it can tear anything into pieces. At the time of second world war, the soldiers of New Guinea were specially warned to steer clear of these birds but still many soldiers died because of the bird’s attack. One documented human death named Philip McClean was caused by a Cassowary on 6 April 1926. The bird cannot fly but can run with a speed of 50 km per hour.

Such creatures have always been adored by the human race. There may have been a lot of such birds around the globe, but according to the recent study and estimation, only 1500 of such birds are found in different parts of the world.

When you visit the rainforest, there are a lot of signs put up for the tourists, so that they make sure that they don’t hit any of such birds (or the other animals) and take their lives under their wheels. Australia is trying its level best to sustain this species for as long as it can.
