Months that begin on a Sunday will always have a Friday the 13th.
We often look at calendars to know exactly which date a particular day falls on or vice versa. But have you ever noticed one fascinating fact?
The months beginning on a Sunday will always have a Friday on the 13th and the converse is also possible– that is any month having a Friday on the 13th will begin on a Sunday!
However, the date of Friday the 13th is considered as unlucky in many countries. People actually have a fear of this date! The fear of this date is called, friggatriskaidekaphobia or paraskevidekatriaphobia. Seems to be the toughest tongue twister!
The terror of this date is at a higher level than you think. Many airline companies suffer huge losses on this date and in fact the airports of same companies do not have any gate numbered ’13’.Furthermore, even the skyscrapers, hospitals and hotels skip the 13th floor!
Moreover, in many parts of the world, if the people on the dining table are 13 in number, it is considered as a bad omen. The number 13 further gets scarier when it falls on a Friday. If January 1 of a leap year falls on a Sunday, the months of January, April and July will each have a Friday on the 13th.
In the 20th century, this happened in 1928, 1956 and 1984. And in the 21st century this will happen four times in 2012, 2040, 2068, 2096.
Some people still take it as nothing more than just a superstition. But we just cannot ignore the past that shouts a number of accidents that took place on Friday the 13th and these accidents are too extraordinary to be forgotten.
